Friends of Cup to Cup: Paris Market

Paris Market is a beautifully decorated café and brocante in the midst of Historic Downtown Savannah. They’ve served Cup to Cup Coffee since 2014, and also serve sandwiches made fresh on breads from our friends at Le Café Gourmet. The staff is remarkably friendly, personable, and helpful, whether you’re looking for a quick sandwich and a drink, or trying to buy that big stuffed animal for a loved one. Paris Market is a great spot for a stop and look around. It’s easy to lose an hour perusing everything on offer here!

Inside the Paris Market is beautiful. On the upper floor, large windows fill the room with sunlight. Whites, grays, and soft neutral colors compliment the traditional Southern Gothic and modern mix of retail items on the shelves. Here you’ll find a white deer in a glass case, frozen in place… one of my favorite decorations in Savannah. I like to sit next to the deer with a coffee and work with the steady mix of tourists and locals trafficking the floor. Downstairs, the Paris Market sells glass, cutlery and tasteful home decorative items.

I’ve had a number of experiences at Paris Market’s in-house Café, and I’ve settled into a routine order of a cappuccino, caprese sandwich (delicious!), and their lavender water. I hardly ever see the same person behind the counter twice, but I’ve never had anything but a wonderful time interacting with the staff. Both in the café and in purchasing a large stuffed hippo as a gift. If you’re in Savannah on vacation, or just moved here, or if you’ve lived here for some time but never made it inside this gorgeous space, definitely put the Paris Market on your to do list!
